Quick answer
Consumers’ mobile-deposit problem is strongly tied to member/account qualification and current limits, not just image quality. Its new-member FAQ is therefore part of the operational rule set.
Published rules for this service
Consumers’ new-member FAQ requires enrollment in eDocuments and acceptance of the eDocuments disclosure; a credit review may apply. Deposits are reviewed before posting, with out-of-hours items handled the next available business day. Each tier allows five checks per day: Bronze/Silver $10,000, Gold $20,000. Bronze uses standard holds; Silver/Gold describe immediate availability. The same FAQ separately states 5–7-business-day check holds during the initial new-account period and discretionary holds after 30 days. It does not clearly explain how those statements interact with mobile tiers. Ask Consumers which rule applies to your deposit and use its availability notice before spending.
Decision path
Feature unavailable → verify eligibility/qualification for mobile deposit. Image/check rejected → correct the item/endorsement issue shown. Deposit accepted but unavailable → move to the applicable funds-availability rule instead of resubmitting.
What to do next
Save your confirmation, tier/limit screen, account-opening date and availability notice. Ask Consumers to explain how its new-account check-hold rule applies to your mobile-deposit tier.
Important limits
Use the current FAQ and your account’s displayed limit and access status. New members may not have identical access. A pending check must not be deposited elsewhere while it may still process.

Rules and service limits can change. Use the linked agreement for your account and the notice shown for this transaction; if they differ, ask the institution to explain which provision applies.
Deposit checklist
Capture whether the mobile-deposit feature is available to the member/account, displayed limit, rejection/status message, submission timestamp, check amount and availability notice. Consumers’ new-member FAQ is important because access/limits can depend on member/account qualification.
FAQ
What if another member has a higher limit? Check your assigned service tier instead of copying their limit. What if my deposit is outside business hours? The FAQ says posting occurs the next available business day after review.
Related but different
First identify your state: service unavailable, image rejected, or accepted deposit with unavailable funds. Qualification, image correction and funds-availability review are different next steps.
